E08 – An Impossible Project? How Teamwork Can Make the Impossible Possible
Sometimes circumstances conspire to make a development project feel almost impossible. But true teamwork can resolve issues and create a successful project. This session follows the path of a community, with affordability for its residents as its mission, as they navigate a tough historic commission, strict zoning laws, and difficult finances during the campus expansion on a small site. Hear how a commitment to collaboration, flexibility, and sheer will can facilitate creative zoning solutions and unconventional design and financial solutions. Through a case study of the Anna T. Jeanes Building, panelists will share some of the project’s highs and lows in design, construction, and financing as well as critical lessons learned.
