Jami is passionate about creating spaces that elevate the daily living experience, aging in place, independence, and wellness of residents. A strong commitment to technical expertise in building design supports his drive to improve the quality of experience and environments. At OZ, Jami has worked on numerous projects, from active adult and independent living to memory support and skilled care. Jami is a member of LeadingAge, the SAGE Board of Directors, AIA, a member of the CDPHE Assisted Living Advisory Committee Board, and serves as a key advisor to the International Organization for Standardization's Committee for Aging Societies ISO/TC 314.

A small panel will be made up of one team member representing each award-winning project, in addition to one member of the jury. The session moderator will introduce panel members, the submission and review process, and the winning projects. Panelists will describe each of the projects, indicating how the project achieved excellence across the competition’s four metrics: Innovation, Collaboration, Quality of Life, and Operations. The juror panelists will also discuss industry and design trends noted in this year's submissions, focusing on those that represent important ideas for the design community to incorporate into future environments. This presentation will be valuable to those operating and designing older adult environments as well as those considering entering a project into future EFA Design Showcase programs. Learning Objectives: Learn about design attributes, challenges overcome, and solutions employed to create award-winning environments for aging.
