…As urban populations age, the demand for high-quality, integrated senior living in dense environments is rising. This session will showcase Benchmark at Alexandria, a ten-story assisted living and memory care community seamlessly woven into a vibrant urban mixed-use development. We will explore how thoughtful design and innovative planning created diverse living options and amenity spaces within a compact, curvilinear footprint, maximizing connection to both the indoors and the surrounding city. The presentation will highlight the integration of biophilic elements, the strategic use of natural light and circadian systems for resident well-being, and how the building fosters community integration with its neighbors. Attendees will gain valuable insights into designing high-quality, sustainable, and socially connected senior living environments that empower residents to maintain active, independent lifestyles in dense urban settings.
